Material price changes Q3 2022

Inflation Update Q4 2024

Construction material prices remained relatively stable in 2024 to date. We have seen single digit increases on plasterboard, plywood, insulation and concrete products with little to no movement on other core materials.

On the commodity front, we have seen stable trading in Q3 but across 2024 as a whole, commodities have been on an upward trend. Scrap metal and re-bar are up +5% and +6% respectively with aluminium (+18%) and copper (+21%) the major movers in the last 12 months.

Shipping costs have eased a little in the last quarter, but are up 33% in 2024 and over 200% in the 12 months to end October.
