Friday 20th September 2024:  Mitchell McDermott has been involved in over €700m worth of projects in the Mid-West and Southern regions over the last six months.

Some of the high profile projects which Mitchell McDermott are working on in Limerick include the Cleeves Riverside Quarter as well as major residential developments on the Carey’s and Dock roads. They have also worked on the Cork Event Centre and the Moxy Hotel, also in Cork, as well as delivering Phase 1 and 2 of Bonham Dock in Galway.

Recently completed projects across the Mid-West and Southern regions include the provision of 1,800 student bedspaces, over 330 residential units and almost 200 hotel rooms.

Mitchell McDermott revealed the figures at an event on the 19th September 2024 to mark the opening of the company’s new Limerick office in Bedford Row in the city.

Eoin McEnery, who’s from Abbeyfeale heads up the new Limerick office. He told invited guests at the event in House on Howley’s Quay that the growing pipeline of work was hugely positive and they would be looking to expand the business in the near future.

“We always had a strong portfolio of clients across the Mid-West and South but having the office here will enable us to better serve new and existing projects while availing of opportunities to grow the business across various sectors including residential, pharma, life sciences and commercial.”

“Some of our staff were looking to relocate to Limerick and the city and county clearly have a lot of attractions. We started with four staff members, but we recently took on four more employees. We will be looking to hire more in the coming months as we expand our presence.”

Paul Mitchell said Limerick City and the Mid-West in general have a bright future and Mitchell McDermott wanted to play its part in helping the city and the wider region deliver on its huge potential.

“We are currently advising on almost 2,400 residential units across the region – predominantly apartments across public and private sector clients, over 500 hotel rooms and over 270 purpose-built student beds as well as 40,000m² of commercial, mixed use and event space.”
