CSR @ Mitchell McDermott –
1000km cycle around Ireland

15

OCTOBER 2020

Join us on our virtual journey cycling 1000km around Ireland to support Women’s Aid and ISPCC‘s Childline in their work helping women and children across Ireland experiencing abuse and other adversities.

As many of this year’s sporting charity events have been postponed or cancelled, we decided to embark on our own fundraiser to support two charities helping women and children across Ireland, as the Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated circumstances for many people in vulnerable situations.

Both of our chosen charities have experienced a significant increase in contacts to their services. We initially aimed to raise €3,000, but quickly revised that goal to €5,000. We are now aiming to raise €10,000, which will hopefully have a big impact.

Over the course of 15th and 16th October we will have teams cycling individually on a virtual route around Ireland, to reach our target distance of 1000km. Our virtual route will take the teams past some of our projects, and we’ll track and log our distances with updates on our iDonate.ie fundraising page.

You can follow our progress on our LinkedIn page for training and progress photos.
